1. Goto Network and Sharing Center
2. Click on View Status on the particular connection that you wish to view the details
3. Click on Details to view the IP Address, Gateway and others.
*Only IPv4 details matter as IPv6 is not implemented in most networking devices.
4. To check on the TCP/IP configuration if its hardcoded or not, click on Properties on the Connection Status dialog box.
5. To change the TCP/IP properties, double click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or select it and click on Properties.
Here you can check if the IP or DNS is hard-coded or not.
